Cebu Foodies and Pasalubong
Rainy season is a few weeks away.
When it’s raining it’s easy to think about what to eat. Usually it lingers in
your mind until you get a taste of the food that you want. I decided to share
you today a food tripping idea you can do while staying in Cebu. Aside from CNT
lechon, there are a lot of delicious foods you can try when having a vacation
in Cebu.
From fried and buttered hipon, sweet and sour pork, sisig, mangoes, and pasalubong specialties, you have countless choices of foodies to try in Cebu.
Aside from these foods to try for breakfast, lunch and dinner, before going home, it is important to know which pasalubong will make your friends and relatives happy. Pasalubong must-haves: otap, CNT lechon and 7D dried mangoes.
When visiting your travel destination, knowing which food to eat and which delicacies to take home will make your vacation deliciously unforgettable. Before packing your bags, do your own research about the place you will be visiting to make the most out of your vacation.

Fall In Love with Bantayan Island
Beach is my favorite place on earth. Seeing the vast blue ocean and powdery white sand makes me feel happy and peaceful. I love going to undiscovered beaches with less people. Bantayan Island is an ideal choice if you want to escape away from the busy and overcrowded beaches like Boracay or Puerto Galera.
Travelling three hours from Cebu City, the long travel time is worth it once you see the beauty of Bantayan Island. From Northern Terminal in Cebu, take a bus going to Hagnaya Port. From the Port, there are ferries bound to Santa Fe Port in Bantayan Island. The travel time by the sea via ferry is around one hour.
I arrived at 7:00pm in the island so I didn't have the chance to see it's beauty. Had to wait until morning to see this beach paradise.
There are a lot of activities to do in Bantayan Island, from island hopping, community strolling (via motor or pedicab), food tripping and resort hopping. Yes, resort hopping! When you go to Bantayan Island I suggest you try to stay from different resort. Each resort have their own features and beautiful beach front to boasts. I stayed in Kota Beach and Yooneek Beach Resort.
For island hopping and snorkeling, there are boats you can rent for a day. The cost is 700-1000 pesos. It includes island tour and snorkeling in Virgin Island (as they call this small and quiet island).
I always enjoy snorkeling because I love to swim in the middle of the sea while seeing colorful salt water fish. Don't forget to bring a bread with you to make sure fish will be coming near you when you swim.
Once you felt tired from different activities, after a long day, you can rest and feel the air of peaceful island by lying on the shore. Having a vacation on a beach like this is always worth it.
The best shoreline and beach in Bantayan Island is located at Kota Beach. We stayed there for a night, the food is great and the beach front is really jaw-dropping and breath-taking.
Aside from Kota Beach, you can also stay at Yooneek Beach Resort. They have very good rooms and quality customer service. Their beach front is beautiful too.
I would certainly go back to Cebu next year and I will be back in Bantayan Island to take more photos and to enjoy the beach and all serene views that my eyes can see.

I love taking photos during dawn,
the color of the sky and the surroundings at the beach is most beautiful before
sunrise. At dawn, you can capture breath-taking images with nice tones of
colors and blending of hues. It’s the best time of the day, the moment I loved
the most whenever I am staying at the beach.
In Bantayan Island, located at
the northern part of Cebu, the place is so serene that you can photograph
anything you look. Capturing landscapes, spur of the moments and awesome
sceneries when travelling is a must for me. Here are some of the photos I took
when I stayed in the paradise-like island of Bantayan in Cebu. I am not an
expert photographer but I am sharing this travel photos taken from my point and
shoot Canon camera. I hope you like them.
Who wouldn't want to be kissed during such a romantic moment? With a tripod ready, you can capture as many images as you want.
Bantayan Island greeting the sun a good morning. I love how the sun naturally adds vibrant color to the landscapes and scenery. The photo above is part of Yoonek Resort's beach front.
The powdery white sand of Kota Beach was painted orange during dawn and sunrise. This photo is making me want to go back to the place. It is really beautiful.
Look at us painted in orange making our skin look tanned. It's the time of the day to look gorgeously golden skin.
It is really hard to capture sunset because it's fast and you need to have a good camera and good eye to focus on the shot. This one was photographed in the middle of the sea in the Ferry going to Bantayan Island. I struggled to shoot this since I don't have time to set up my tripod.
Sunset at Kota Beach isn't that much dramatic unlike during sunrise. The best view of sunset is seen and viewed from Madrilejos Bantayan, Island. On the other side, in Santa Fe, taking sunrise photos will undeniably show you breath-taking view.
I hope you like these travel photos taken at Bantayan Island Cebu. One day, I want to be a professional landscape photographer. More stories to come in my next post. :)
