My Top Summer Wonder is Palawan!

My busy week is over. It’s time to think about summer again. It’s not too late to enjoy the heat of the sun. Instead of cursing this hot weather, let’s view it from the positive side. Summer in the Philippines is definitely fun because we have more than 10 choices of summer destination to visit from March to May.

Nivea is currently having its survey for the top summer destination here in the Philippines. If you will ask me, honestly, it is giving me a hard time which destination to choose. With thorough thinking, I chose Palawan as my summer wonder. Let me tell you seven reasons why Palawan is my top summer wonder.

7 Reasons Why Palawan is My Top Summer Wonder

Paradise-like Beaches. Puerto Princesa Palawan is located near several beaches in the province. You have more choices so it is ideal to stay here for 1 week so you can visit all these paradise-like beaches.

Adventurous Island Hopping. I am a certified island-hopping junkie. From going to one island to another, snorkelling and rough boat ride – I really enjoy doing this. Palawan is an ideal place to experience all of these activities. Choose from going to Starfish Island, Snake Island, and other islands for your beach hopping activity.

Must-see Underground River. Your visit in Palawan will never be complete if you will not see the Underground River. It is time to see this one of the 7 Wonder of Nature located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range north of Puerto Princesa Palawan.

Face-to-Face with Crocs. I know you’ve heard and seen a lot on TV about Crocodile Farm in Palawan. But seeing it with your own eyes, face-to-face with the crocodile is a different experience. It made me think that crocs are cute too.

Serene View at Mitra’s Ranch. What I remember from Mitra’s Ranch aside from the serene view from Mitra’s house is the Baker’s Hill hoping ube. One bite of this hoping ube will take you to heaven. I advise you buy 15 box of Baker’s Hill Hopia.

Mouth-watering Foods. Since I am already talking about food, summer vacation also means eating a lot of food during your trip. It’s your chance to try local dishes so don’t miss the opportunity. There are a lot of restaurant in Puerto Princesa City. You may try Kinabuch and Bilao at Palayok. Take a tricycle to tour around the city.

Rich Filipino Culture. People in Palawan are one of the most honest people in the Philippines. They are so hospitable and helpful which is truly a Filipino trait. Aside from that, they produce a lot of Filipino products we can be very proud of.

There you have it. My seven reasons why Palawan is my summer wonder aren’t enough because there are more than seven reasons why it’s one of the most visited travel destination in the Philippines.

  2. Hi Lovely, I've never been to Boracay yet so I can't tell. :)

For Kinabuch, I didn't try the worm dish I think I wouldn't like it so I tried other meal instead. Mas na-enjoy ko ang food sa Bilao at Palayok. Sarap ng food and ganda ng ambiance. :D
