20 Travel Photo Inspiration

Travelling means getting memorable and breath-taking photos from the place you are visiting. I cannot live a day when travelling without taking photos. Looking at photographs makes me feel so happy especially when those are taken on a different place.

Fall In Love with Bantayan Island

Beach is my favorite place on earth. Seeing the vast blue ocean and powdery white sand makes me feel happy and peaceful. I love going to undiscovered beaches with less people. Bantayan Island is an ideal choice if you want to escape away from the busy and overcrowded beaches like Boracay or Puerto Galera.

Dawn, Sunrise and Sunset in Bantayan Island

I love taking photos during dawn, the color of the sky and the surroundings at the beach is most beautiful before sunrise. At dawn, you can capture breath-taking images with nice tones of colors and blending of hues.

Palawan is My Summer Wonder

Instead of cursing this hot weather, let us view it from the positive side. Summer in the Philippines is definitely fun because we have more than 10 choices of summer destination to visit from March to May.

Cebu City Tour

My long wait is over. I have been wanting to go to Cebu since last year. Finally I was able to book a trip going to Cebu last March. I spent my first day in Cebu for a City Tour. Getting around the city is really fun although you have to prepare yourself from the heat of the sun.

Travalo - Perfume Bottle for People on the Go

When travelling and you don't want to bring too bulky bags, it is important to keep all the things you have with you well-packed. In my case, I list down all the stuff I need to bring with me before packing for a trip.

For some instances, there will be times when you have to leave some things behind even if you want to bring them because they're too bulky or they're fragile. A perfect example for this scenario is bringing a perfume. Yes, you can't bring along you're 50ml to 100ml bottle of perfume or risk breaking the bottle inside the bag. If you're too lazy to pack and bring your perfume bottles, the solution for this travelling dilemma is to use a perfume atomizer.

I use Travalo perfume atomizer to bring with me my favorite scents. Each bottle can refill up to 5ml. This is good for a few days of trip out of town. You can even bring two types of perfume if you have more than one Travalo mini perfume bottle.

Travalo works for those people who are always on the go. You don't have to worry about breaking your perfume bottle inside your bag or bringing big bottles when you travel. Never Travalo without one. You can check their website here for more details.

Photo of the Day: A View From Mt. Tapyas Coron

Photos can really reflect emotion and mood. It can capture the exact emotion of the moment you photographed. One of the best things I love doing when travelling is taking photos. It is storytelling in a more creative and passionate approach.

I've abandoned my blog for eight months. It's been ages since the last time I posted anything here. Because I was too busy with my work and other tasks, I sacrificed my blog. In the next few days, I'll take time to write an update. For now, let me leave you with one of my favorite photos which I took during our trip in Coron last October 2012.

Don't forget to reflect during Lenten Season.

Fun in Puerto Galera

After weeks of being too busy and lazy at the same time, I finally managed to write a post for my blog today! Yihaaa! So I am sharing to you one of the most recent places I visited – Puerto Galera.

I am not a fan of beaches that are overcrowded. At first, I thought I wouldn't like Puerto Galera. This beach destination is located in Oriental Mindoro. It is one of the most visited places in the Philippines during summer and vacation seasons. Because Puerto Galera is just two to three hours away from Manila and because of its cheap accommodations, people preferred going to this destination.

Enjoying Vacation in Puerto Galera

The place is an ideal choice for a short vacation with your friends and family. My two days and  one night vacation became so memorable and extremely fun because of my friends. Puerto Galera offers its visitors a lot of things to do. For sure, you will never get bored when you can explore and become outdoorsy and adventurous for a day.

Banana Boat Ride

I never thought I’d be enjoying a banana boat ride. This is the most unforgettable activity I tried in Galera. Riding on a banana boat while sight-seeing the white beach of Puerto Galera is indeed exhilarating. With the fast moving banana boat plus the excitement of being thrown out of the sea made my heart beat so fast. It even stopped me from breathing as I anticipate the moment that I’ll be out of balanced. The next moment, you’ll be swimming in the sea and struggling to get back to the banana boat. The banana boat experience is really worth trying.

Parasailing

Flying can make you feel relaxed unless you have fear of heights. Para-sailing while being pulled by a motorboat on the beach is a must-try activity in any beach you visit. Imagine how you can take advantage of seeing the vast blue ocean while feeling the sea breeze touching your face. Although parasailing is quite expensive, the picture of you flying is definitely a fun, memorable and priceless experience.

Beach Bumming

Nothing can be more affordable than lying on the sand and hearing the ocean waves nearby. If you like to tan your skin, go on a sun-bathing from morning until mid-noon to avoid sun burn and potential skin damages. For a serene beach bumming, you can relax at late noon until night and lie on a mattress or sit on a wooden chair facing the beach for a quiet moment after a long day.

Kayaking

Tonton taught me how to move a kayak and sail on the sea. I have little idea on how to try boating since I’ve already tried it on Baguio’s Burnham Park before. It is so fun to ride a kayak although it will give you muscle pain in your arms if you do it all day. We have an unlimited access to kayaking at Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort so we tried it until we all got tired.

Snorkeling and Island Hopping

In the resort where we stayed, you can try kayaking and snorkeling activities for free. One of my favorite beach activities is snorkeling. In Puerto Galera, there are also groups offering island hopping and snorkeling activities. All groups offer the same rates but some resorts have their in-house beach island hopping packages and other activities they offer to their guests.

Volleyball

Beach is an ideal place for volleyball. You can play and enjoy the heat of the sun while challenging your friends to try this sport. There are places that offer renting of volleyball balls in case you forgot to bring your own.

Watching Fire-Dance Show

Beaches with a lot of visitors usually have fire-dancing shows at night. This is common in beaches like Puerto Galera and Boracay Island in the Philippines. In Galera, I was really amazed by the young men fire dancers who are really expert in fire dancing. Their moves and stunts are awesome and breath-taking. You can take pictures with them after their show for a photo memorabilia.

Food Trip

I already forgot the name of the restaurant in Galera where the servers and waiters are really funny and entertaining. The crews are naturally gay and amusing. The foods they offer in the restaurant are affordable too which is ideal for people who are on a budget vacation. There are various types foods to try in Puerto Galera, mostly are grilled meat, sea foods and other common Filipino dishes served in local restaurants.

Visiting Puerto Galera is one of your best options for short, affordable and fun-filled vacation. Make the most out of your visit by knowing which activities to try during your stay. Every hour counts when you are on a vacation so make it a point to take advantage of every moment you spend in Puerto Galera.

Sunset at Aninuan Beach

Everyone deserves to be pampered during vacation. If you are looking for a perfect vacation in a place near Manila, Sunset at Aninuan Beach is the best place to explore. Located in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, the travel time takes three to four hours from Manila via bus or car and a ferry from Batangas Port.

Once you arrived at the place, you will be surprised that this beautiful, peaceful and unovercrowded beach is located near White Beach in Puerto Galera.

Our group was picked up from White Beach and we were transferred via a very-Filipino type of jeepney. The moment I saw the place, my jaw dropped because of the breath-taking view of the beach and its first class furniture, rooms and facilities.

I love the first class facilities in the place, the furniture, the room and the views are really awesome. They have Jacuzzi and two swimming pools near the beach so you will really have a great view from the pool while relaxing. Also, there is a wine bar in the pool for extraordinary experience of relaxation.

The food in the place is great but it’s quite expensive so during dinner time, it is advisable that you check out other restaurants located at the white beach resort.

The resort is called Sunset at Aninuan Beach, it was derived from the beautiful and serene sunset view from the resort. Be prepared to take photos of the sunset, the place is really perfect for sunset photography.

My vacation in Sunset at Aninuan is really worth the experience. It is one of the most beautiful resorts I've seen. More stories to come about Puerto Galera and Sunset at Aninuan on my next post. I hope this vacation story inspired you to take a break and relax. :)

Sunset at Aninuan Beach have their website online. You can check it here.

Travel Guide: How to Get to Bantayan Island

Travelling to Bantayan Island will take you hours to spend in airplane, to Cebu bus and then to the boat going to the island. When you’re up for an adventure and long road trips, Bantayan Island is the destination you should visit. Literally, you will travel by air, by land and by the sea just to reach this paradise, but the long road trip is definitely worth-it.

Road Trip to Bantayan Island

From Manila, you can take a plane going to Cebu (Mactan International Airport). Book a flight via Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, or Philippine Airlines. Once you arrived at the airport, you can tour around the city first before taking a ride going Hagnaya Port then to Bantayan Island.

There are three ways to get to Hagnaya Port (North of Cebu)

Via cab or taxi. You can ask taxi services in Cebu City to drive you to Hagnaya Port. This is the most convenient and fastest option to reach the northern part of Cebu. But this option is relatively expensive. Rates vary depending on the driver and your deal.

Via rented van. Near SM Cebu, you can find North Terminal wherein there are van and bus bound to the northern part of Cebu going to Hagnaya Port. Vans are faster than bus but you have to wait until all the seats are occupied before the van leaves.

Via bus. This is my most preferred option going to Bantayan Island. You can take bus bound to Hagnaya at North Terminal in Cebu. The cost is around P150 per head from the terminal station to the port. Travel time is around 3 hours from the city.

After three hours of travelling, you will arrive at the Hagnaya Port, there are ferries at the port leaving for every hour. Make sure you will arrive at the port before 6pm for the last boat trip going to the island. The most ideal time to ride the ferry is around 3pm. You will arrive at the island after one hour to give you more time to familiarize yourself to the place, choose a restaurant where to eat and finally rest on your chosen resort for accommodation. Plus, arriving earlier in the island allows you to catch the sunset too. I guess earlier than 3pm is also ideal if you will not be taking a city tour in Cebu.

The road trip to Bantayan Island is worth-it, once you set your foot on its white sand shores, and once you see the breath-taking views in the island, you’ll forget that you are tired from the long hours of the trip.
